Public Submissions – The Commons
The Commons is Unmixed’s public space for dialogue.
This is where readers, artists, organizers, dancers, writers, and cultural workers can respond, reflect, question, and speak back.
This is not a comment section.
It’s a curated exchange.
-
We welcome submissions that include:
Responses to Unmixed articles
Scene observations and reflections
Cultural critique and opinion
Lived experience
Questions worth debating
Speculation or scene talk (will be clearly labeled)
Short essays or long-form thoughts
Anonymous submissions (when safety requires it)
You don’t need to be a writer.
You do need to be thoughtful, honest, and accountable. -
We do not publish:
Hate speech
Doxxing or private information
Direct harassment or threats
Fabricated allegations
Content meant purely to provoke harm
Disagreement is welcome.
Disrespect is not. -
Community voices are never extracted — they are invited.
