Half-asleep at 1 AM, I watched his live performance on a tiny screen. That was Alex Wilcox. While Beatport was busy sorting music into genre bins, he was making something that ignored them entirely.

Naayaab - a self-taught, Mumbai-based vocalist, producer, and DJ, originally from Udaipur, Rajasthan, India, working at the intersection of electronic underground music and rooted musical traditions - this allows her work to sit naturally inside this lineage.
